The cable from the wall to the splitter is about 6 inches; from the splitter to the modem about 2 foot; and the splitter to the box about 3 foot. It's only a 2-way splitter and i've used pretty good quality co-axial cable. Like i said before everything used to work fine and none of the cables have been fiddled with. Could the signal strength on the feed to our house have decreased or something??? I'm not home until friday but i'll try then. As much as i'd like to fix the problem, i hope it's not the splitter causing it because it'd be a pain in the arse if i could only use one of the box or the modem at a time.
