After 2 weeks, they finally arrived today, battered and bashed cardboard boxes, but I'll put that down to DHL. Inside though the 500's have survived with no dents or scratches.

Only opened one and connected for testing, first impression it looks real neat, better than I expected.

BUT! Came with a 2 pin mains plug, there is a UK 3 pin to 2 pin adapter included, but it is SO ill fitting and contains no protection fuse that I would personally regard as UNSAFE, better to chop the 2 pin plug off and fit a propper 3 pin plug with 3A fuse or buy a propper adapter with a 3 amp fuse (I really don't like the idea of the possibility of only relying on a 30A trip on the consumer unit should the switchmode psu decide to cross it's legs!!!!!)

Anyway, with that sorted, I plugged it in, it booted up and it actually had DK image on it with channels from an asian satellite (maybe they actually test them before despatch?). As I rely on usals, I put my long/lat details in and tried a scan. The dish just wouldnt do anything except dance around the zero position, tried a few images and played with various settings but just the same, I read about poor clone psu's causing this problem and started to worry!

But, I eventually did a factory reset, started from scratch and the dish moves perfectly now. After trying a few images again, I settled on Pli jade.

Been on a few hours now, box and psu are only slightly warm, been scanning various satellites with no problems for a few hours.

So far, I am very impressed, a decent clone, stable, good picture. DVBmonkey have a good clone here, just a bit slow to deliver.

EDIT: Just got the 2nd box out, set it up, first thing I did was factory reset, set my long/lat details, and working perfect, I am more than happy with these boxes.
