Default AZbox

I bought an AZbox premium in July, it looked to be a great bit of kit on paper,

Initially I was disappointed by the box's performance, but the box was sold as being still in beta and the firmware as well, plus I had waited a frustrating 5 weeks getting messed about by the reseller before I took delivery.

Now the box is starting to get there SD and HD channels are very good quality, most of the features work, playing media files such as MKV's, AVI's etc are a doddle,

easy to hook up to my network, and play media from a remote server

Installation of a internal SATA HDD again a doddle, although I have heard of people connecting up the wrong cable (power) and frying the motherboard

the integrated wireless works well now as well, although if your playing media files across the network its better to be hard wired.

updating of the firmware can easily be done from the internet or from a usb drive.

the EPG is getting there as well, it has support for freesat, UK sky and Sky Itallia via a plug-in which is now being developed by Opensat.

It also has now good support for CCcam servers (not supported or condoned on this Site ) via Multicas.

This box has still some way to go , but my DM600Pvr is now relegated to a toy to test image builds on, ( when I get it back from a mate)

I thought now was a good time to give some feedback on the Azbox,

I'll start posting any interesting Legal stuff to do with this box here when I find it,

at the moment the epg is a work in progress, as is the dual tuner support, epg at present is now & next at best, and has to be manually downloaded if you require more, which is lost on reboot, but 7 day with series link has been promised

Have you tried installing this for epg CrossEPG

Dual tuner support not that good? Would it work as a C & S receiver? For instance watch cable & record satellite?
