I'm going from the Thirsk area tomorrow to Scarborough, I think sutton bank on the A170 prohibits caravans, so I'm looking for a different route

I reckon A19 to York, then onto the A1237, then cut up to the A170 via the A169. which will take me to the site we're planning to have our first Gypo weekend away, I'm a towing virgin so should be fun

Took us 2houra to get to the site, just down the road from west ayton ,fooling awning was a right bitch

Once you got hang of the awning it is a 20 min job to set up m8.

The 2 dual carriage way sections on the A64 between York and Scarbo are shot, top tarmac is a right mess, gravel everywhere. Worse when peeps overtake and cut in after too early showering you with grit.

What you need now Renny is a good downpour of rain to appreciate the benifit of a shed! You will want to burn your tent after that!

Although the weather is pretty good this Easter, a portable dehumidifier from B&Q was a god send to me last Easter when the nights was pretty cold.

The reason why the tarmac on the A64 is fooked, is that the council last got it done half price by a gang of pikeys!!
