Default Coolstream HD, some questions and answers

Been looking around a Coolstream HD1 forum for answers to questions I have, below for your info, I converted from German to English so may be mistakes.

How much will this box cost?

The official price of the Coolstream HD1 is 299 euros inclusive VAT (approx £262).

When will it be available to buy?

So far there is no definite date of delivery, but at the end of of May/beginning of of June is sighted.

Will the source code really be public so we can compile our own images?

The source code of the NeutrinoHD GUI stands under GPL and will naturally be published. When and where though is not certain at present.

What about twin tuners?

The HD1 box is not twin Tuner. A twin tuner version perhaps later will follow, maybe the Coolstream HD2.

What about a cable tuner?

A DVB-C version of the HD1 is at present under development and shortly after the DVB-S2 version will appear.

Will it run soft cams?

No. Like the Dbox2 source code, the HD1 source will not have soft cam management. But that won't stop other people compiling an image for it with soft cam management like dbox2 images.

Has anyone got a softcam running on it to test?

One guy claims, newcamd and gbox run smoothly. CCcam is not yet supported.

Will there be Enigma images for it?

The Coolstream developers are commited to NeutrinoHD, there is no reason why another group cannot port Enigma for it.
