Sportster are up at RC003 now. Has anybody started translating any of these?

I fancy giving them a go but I've only just finished following the modding school guide so am nowhere near an expert. Fancy getting my feet a little more wet tho and I used to love Sportster when first got the Dbox.

You'll find it an uphill task, m8! Sportster is SquashFS, meaning you can't write or edit anything in the compressed part of the image, which is everything except the /var section.

Good luck, though! AL

had a little play with Sportster version 2 myself the other month.

ive got a version2 rc2 which is about 80% UK modded. working with uk fast scanning and most translations done. could probably be used as is, just needs uk Yweb+Sweb sorting and a netid manual inputbox adding. got a bit side tracked with other things and then i started playing with rc3 instead. may just finish v2rc2 off if i get a bit of spare time before new year.

I would love to see what the recent Sportster images have to offer. If you do manage to get one close to UK ready state I'd love to give it a go. If you need someone to test even.

Not sure exactly what I could offer assistance wise but more than willing...
Let me know.

only got as far as tarring squashfs root up onto my ide-hdd and then transfered the tar over to pc and extracting root to edit but thats as far as i looked at doing that.

i descided to play about with the easy/lazy option instead, as sportster have kindly already set things up so that you can just add experimental files to override the ones in root. most of the things that require uk modding are symlinked from root to var so i havnt bothered unsquashing/squashing with their updated partition size for the sake of about 150k of added files.
