Good work, SS, m8! Your next mission impossible, should you choose to accept it, is LCD-EPG for Enigma. This message will self-destruct in 5 secs.

Yep, thanks to all involved. Put this on my SSE4 image, after trimming down to just my area and worked a treat. Scanned and found all in about 3 mins.

much appreciated

Enigma has the Network search facility in manual scan, just enter your default frequency to scan (from SML), then check the network search box and it will scan in around 4 minutes and find all the channels - no need to chaange the cables.xml file

The xml I posted has all the latest sml data in it and lists all the areas in the drop down box, I think they are only editing it because they want to make the file smaller and exclude the other areas?

Think you have the wrong end of the stick there, Lincsat, m8. The Manual Scan feature, when I've tested this- is just for one particular Transponder frequency, surely?

No AL lincsat is correct,if you enter your default freq then tick the network search it scans all the transponders specific to your area.

Ah- so it was me who had the wrong end of the stick, LOL! Like I said, when I tested this before, it was just one specific Transponder that it targetted. I don't recall seeing a 'Network Search' box to tick, but the last time I would have run this would have been SS-Enigma 1, probably...

I'll try it again, but this slimmed-down cables.xml is the Rover's Gonads for peeps like me who know their scan details!

Cheers- AL

Just tested this again, in SS-Enigma 4. With and without cables.xml present- rebooting each time, of course.

Ticked the network search box, tried 64300 and 75500 (both work here)- zilch. Tried it all again, entering data as 00643 and 00755- zilch. Ran the whole set of tests again with cables.xml back in and reboot. Zilch.

I stand by my original statement, guys- sorry. This feature is all about finding the channels in one specific transponder frequency, and very good it is at doing this too!

If it can also work as a placebo 'Fast Scan' alternative, then I failed miserably to make it work...

Cheers- AL

Is the lock and synch boxes checked AL when doing this?
If you enter your default freq 00*** then tick inv then your sym rate, then Qam64, the lock and synch boxes should auto tick, then tick network and away you go.
This has worked for me on any enigma image since time began lol.
But then again it could be senile dementia

It was senile dementia, m8- on my part. But it's all Lincsat's fault, for forgetting to mention the tick [ ] Inv box, LOL!

I just tested again and, yes- it works a treat. Just a tad longer than auto scanning with the cut-down cables.xml - but still a neat trick!

Cheers- AL
