I've spent the last couple of days 'standardizing' my Neutrino services / bouquets / epgfilter / channel icon filenames so that everything matches what you lot pull in on a Scan. So no more file renaming when using AL's stuff! All tested and 100% kosher.
I've often wondered how come many of my Channel Names were different to everyone else's- then the penny dropped... My very first dbox2 four years ago came from a m8 in Bellyfast who had set it all up for me, running BoxCracker Head 3.5 image. He had renamed every channel in services to a max of 8 characters, so that they all fitted neatly into the left hand column of the EPG Plus screen, LOL! So I renamed them to what looked better for me, and have stuck to manually editing services.xml ever since, with all the dupes and dross removed. But now I'm sharing these Channel Logos around- and the filenames of these have to exactly match the channel name in services- my overhaul was long overdue and should make life a lot easier for everyone. No more file renames, folks! Cheers- AL

what do you use to create these?
i've tried viewing them in paintshop pro but get lots of options to fill in when opening one and no matter what i pick it doesnt look right. i've seen the raw editor thaat is floating about but surely you paste them into something rather than drawing them from scratch? partly just wondering, partly cos i might have a go at remaking some bigger (i noticed some are a bit bigger and think they would look better all that size) oh and also cos i've not got a channelm logo

There are so many different RAW formats, it looks like no normal graphics prog will support the raw that Neutrino needs.
So, AL and myself made them with Paint Shop Pro, and load a pallete that I made that supports the colours neutrino raws need, the pallete is on here. Neutrino Raw icons psp pallete I then copy and paste the icon into RawIconEditor, again the program is on here, older versions don't support copy and paste. Carefull that you select a colour for transparent background, and use RawIconEditor to create the actual RAW RawIconEditor You may find that the colours are very limited and using RawIconEditor is frustrating but it's the only method I could come up with to get half decent results. Maybe in future Neutrino will support png's like Enigma to make it easier and provide more colours. Anyway, have a go and please share your icons here if you get good results. SS

To start with- I thought that 80x48px format fitted the neutrino infobar nicer than the 100x60 size that SS was using in Enigma.
I was also very worried about the 'apparent' size of the overall raw Icons folder in Neutrino. These fears turned out to be groundless, as what seems to be 500kb of raw files in Neutrino only take about 115kb of dbox memory. Whereas 215kb of Enigma png files really DOES take 215kb of memory. Plus, more recent neutrino icons I've done at 100x60 - and I eat my hat, and agree with SS that this looks better. So I'll redo the whole lot early in the New Year @ 100x60 !! And put 'em on eBay! Joke...
