I tried this image today as well ad I really liked it!
Fast scan did work for me though and was fast and accurate.
the only small problem I notices was that I tried to use the NTP update for time sync and was getting connection errors in sectionsd, was fine once I updated the server to time.fu-berlin.de

Was having a hard time between the EPG and the time sync, I couldn't get the EPG data (no epg message when on channel change) or was having a couldn't set time message.... could just be me though as I was trying different images to resolve an original EPG problem (only keeping EPG info for 5 minutes at the moment then everything disappears!)... Must try NJ's and Trinity_gadget images at some point to see if I'm still getting this EPG disappearance problem (probably just me!).

I've tested the fast scan here without problem.

I have noteced the UCODE change doesn't work, my fault, I compliled from a backup UBUNTU image which had the wrong files in the UCODE folder. You can manually change the UCODE or delete ucode.bin may do it.

I am having a problem with re-booting from the main menu, you get no further than "waiting for time" on the EPG, a hard-boot sorts it - could be related to what Freddy found. I'm going to try another build in the next few days to see if the CVS has changed enough to get the re-boot working agaian.

Looked at this again and the error seems to stem from using the 7 Day sectionsd. This error appears on the re-boot from the menu but not from a hard re-boot or if using the current CVS sectionsd - I have tried using an old libc.so.6 from an earler image that worked OK without success.

Code:
/tmp/sectionsd: relocation error: /tmp/sectionsd: symbol settimeofday, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference
I am by no means a coder, so haven't a clue where to look - any chance you could have a look Freddie, or anyone else that's smarter than me (probably all of you )

Hmmmm, libc.so.6 haunts me often! Try the one enclosed, I have always had to patch my images with this one.

How are you getting your different one in? Are you compiling it in, or kill all etc post compile and ftp'ing it in?

I'm probably due to have a look at it again... I mean, I'm sure that there were a lot of changes made to the CVS that would be beneficial to the 7 days epg

I'll give that a go in the next day or so. I used to add the file during compile in the customisation script, until that stopped working.

I now copy/overwrite it into the lib folder in the cdkflash/root-neutrino-jffs2 folder, then make the image again - only takes a few seconds to compile the image with the changed file in it.

Sounds like a good image will have to give it a go? is there any pros or cons to it?
