Solent area went off over night (19th). no channels found. rescaned no, probs. except the lots of missing chanels. I found them in "others".
system now working well. basicly any channel startng with an "S" has dropped out.
(p.s. several boxes all the same)...

cheers all:- do it to them before they do it to you.

Had a quick look at some of your posts and I have to say it does sound like your box is the issue m8, also noticed you asked how to obtain a bootlog which is explained in the pt1 online help guide here:Dbox Section - UkCvs.org

Having read your posts you might find you get more help if you didn't start most with "I have been told to give thanks for using this image"
The guy's creating these are not paid and as such give there time for no more than the genuine wish to help people.
Saying thanks is great but only when its genuine.

@videoman: If you switch to a channel that suffers freezing, then press Blue followed by Red- you can note down the approx readings you see for BER, SNR, and SIG. Then post them here, so we can point you in the right direction.

Hi well any thanks I give are all genuine even if I am told to say so I wont I beleave calling a spade a spade and therfore all thanks are genuine. But I hope thats the last I will ear of my bad manners?
Will try to get the box going again as I now seem to have lost the video signal with sound OK;the start up logo is fine so I know the scart lead is working. But I now have to get back to repairing some TVs and a Microwave oven ,so I will not be able to test till next week?

Default loss of epg
using the latest ver c11.3.11, since the update of vm in our area the scanning and bouquets are requiring tweaks as per my previous posts. now however no epg at all.... reset box nil.... if I recycle my epg preference (which is already set on the safest mode) back to the safest mode ....... instantly displays the epg!

seems to be sticky.....

This is the best image to date thank lads...

Hi,

Got the same issue with epg here (Bradford) on the same version 11.3.11.
Works fine to start with (few hrs on standard vm) then will go blank and lcd display says loading epg, restart box and epg starts to repopulate again.

Started following recent vm changes as binki states.

Default no epg and freezing.

box again showing no epg and frozen had to unplug to reset, the first time for this image, (and for a very long time). had to reset the epg from vm standard 1 day (blue blue green blue yellow) to blue blue green blue red epg instantly restored i'll see how it all settles down and report futher.
cheers binki

Default stable again
seems that Channels were missing which made the image unstable, by selecting "all services" prior to another scan missing channels appeared and the epg back to normal. reset mine to standard vm which gave me probs yesterday now operating fine. hope this helps.

binki

no still freezing download and reflashed scaned just in case it was me..... stable at the mo

Default Bouquets screwed up - shows all regions?
Hi Guys,

Strange one for you...

Happily running 11.3.11, online update <latest version>.

Worked perfectly till a couple of days ago - suddenly had Sky1 etc (which I've never had before, even tho SKy and VM buried the hatchet), and I now seem to have all the Regional versions of the Stations (BBC1 South, STV, etc etc) - rather than the Vmedia Bouquets I had till then.

Are VM up to something, I notice a few other channel changes etc?

ALso - on the "Set Area for Fast Scan" etc - I have multiple "Huddersfield" options for the different "signals" - how do I confirm which of these I should use?

Main goal - how can I get back to the "Vmedia bouqets" as per the Scan settings? Perhaps I could delete the bouqet files, and scan it all again? (I have done multiple full, brute force scans since - but doesnt seem to "fix" the Bouquets?").

Thanks in advance...
