Default EXT2 testing
Hi,
Firstly just to confirm all OK on XFS (records and playback etc). Have now formatted to EXT2 and all went fine, I am able to record and playback. The format from one file system to another works fine. Just one wierd quirk, when formatted to EXT2 it created a folder on my HDD called "Lost+Found"
Again thanks for all the hard work

Tommo

Tommo
It's a directory that Linux / Unix creates automatically when it formats a new disk and in some cases when a new partition is created.
From a quick search a description is:
To keep the files that it restores after a system crash or when a partition hasn't been unmounted before a system shutdown. This way you can recover files that would otherwise have been lost.

All back to the starting post please, lads. We've just re-issued C11.3 in downloads, to include all E&Os picked up in Feedback during the past 24 hours.

Escpecially LraiZer's latest LCD-EPG fix, rather than the previous one which he wasn't happy with. I seem to remember we had the same misunderstanding back in SP1/SP2 patches, so it's all Renny's fault! (You just can't get the staff these days...)

The readme is updated too, so please overwrite your original with the new copy.

The Add-Ons pack is unchanged - but is left in for the peeps who have not downloaded at all yet.

Sorry about this false start, but shit happens!

Cheers- AL

Tommo

That's good to know Tommo....I could only get this feature to work on The Don V4.

I'll have a play with this new release sometime this evening...I hope.......and post some feedback of course !!
Would have done so yesterday but Sunday was another lost day in my sad life, lol.

Very classy PDF AL....real nice work here, very user friendly and informative.

Who said I wrote it?

OK, Installed and pretty much setup to my liking

I removed the setVolume100 from the standby.on as I don't want to be blasted out when I've set the volume low on the box.

I've installed the CIFS (Web update was fine) and have tried recording and playback to a direct file with CIFS. Playback is fine but I get recording failed after a few seconds due to data not being written fast enough. I used to use Dboxwinserver before, so can I check what the direct recording settings should be.

Otherwise all looking good so far

There might be some settings to tweak for CIFS, m8- maybe Tommo can advise?

Rather than delete the setVolume item, why not just edit it to 20 or 50? ie a Volume level you're happy with when the box arouses from its slumbers.

I use 50 on the box downstairs, as I always forget to lower the volume before I go to bed. Saves 'er indoors being blasted out of her chair when she wakes it up at 0530 each morning, LOL!

We're still looking for a way of letting the user adjust this via a shell menu, like Cryo did in the good old days...

BTW- can everyone feeding back pls give an indication of how much Free Space their box is running, once they have all their desired kit installed?

Cheers- AL
