Well, at the next 'dropout'- pls give Freddy the info he needs to analyse, and then switch to Std Mode, just to see if same anomaly occurs, pls.

XFS will be 100% kosher done that way, as this is how it was proven during LraiZer's beta testing. Was worried that you had used a previous XFS package from the older kernel in C11.3

Cheers- AL

Thanks

I'm in the same area as you, using another image with a "standard cvs" sectionsd.
I'm getting EPG on all channels except ITV3 (which gives waiting for epg..).
I know for sure that all the transponders were changed by VM recently in this area. No viewable channels or EPG at all!
Had to do a full scan to pick up the correct channels again.
Maybe you should try a scan (if you haven't already) & see if that cures the problem - although if you get an EPG sometimes........
Don't forget to check your epgfilter.xls as well after a re-scan.

Hi Tyke,

Yeah had to rescan following recent VM changes but as you say everything came back ok, I get the epg on all channels (ITV3 as well) but just goes completely blank after a few hours. Still lot of switched on people on here so hopeful of a fix

Thanks
Tommo

Hi,

Right EPG has just started to dropout and checking the EPG statistics there is no info other than the number of tv channels and radio stations.
If you need any other info let me know as I will not change anything for the moment (no reboot etc).

Thanks for the help guys

Tommo

Right... that's weird because that seems to indicate that sectionsd has been killed.... or has crashed!
Can you telnet to your box and do a
Code:
ps | grep sectionsd
and check that you have more than the grep sectionsd output... i.e. it should look something like this:
Code:
  129 root 8344 S sectionsd
  130 root 8344 S sectionsd
  131 root 8344 S sectionsd
  135 root 8344 R sectionsd
  136 root 8344 S sectionsd
  137 root 8344 S sectionsd
  138 root 8344 S sectionsd
  139 root 8344 S sectionsd
30532 root 420 S grep sectionsd
Try now if you haven't rebooted your box yet... or wait next for the next time it happens!
Hope you can telnet to your box, ask here if you're not sure how to do this (sorry, I'm not sure what is your level of knowledge on "telnetting"!)

Or, press blue > dbox > yellow > blue to see the sectionsd status in LraiZer's new Memory & Processes page in the System Information menus

Working well here in nottingham pure. Everything fired up straight away. I'm not getting the full epg on 4 day mode. But I'm pretty sure I need to edit the timers as my box is switched off over night. I'll have a play to see.
The only slight issue which is in most images is when I turn DHCP on in networking, the setting don't take effect when i restart the network I have to reboot. Works fine after that.

All in all superb. Thanks guys

Phil:- try Save Settings on the way out (then possibly a Restart Neutrino) ??- AL

Default Dropped timeSync and NetID and Frequency for HD6 area please?
Hi Al and the usual gang

First up - another great job on TC12 - just flashed it over, all fine...

Only thing is - when I do a channel scan, it's finding none, and the channels all say "Waiting for time".

I noticed the setting for TimeSync source - DVB, NTP etc - I take it the defaults (havent changed 'em ) should work?

I'll try a rb in a few minutes, after the full scans finnished finding nothing

Also, I live in the Hudds area (Ex NTHell) - can anyone give me the NetId and Freq for the Auto Scan in this area? (I did leave this on 11.3, but it kept turning off again? I'm hoping cos NetID wasnt set).
