Anything in the way of bugs, typos, features that don't work as expected, constructive suggestions, etc etc- we want to know about it, please!

Where applicable, please state your box type, and which provider you're with. Describe your problem fully- ie: if it's EPG giving you hassle, tell us WHICH mode you're running, as there are 9 to pick from and we aren't mind readers!

Manual Update to version 12.1.2 - 01 March 2010

Fixes:

1) New zapit by Cydine and LraiZer; Fast or BruteForce Scan with VM-style Bouquets now fully compatible with the new Channel Map being introduced UK-wide. (Still works correctly in areas not updated yet, don't worry).

2) Revised cables.xml to grab some missing pr0n channels. (thanks to AlcoholJunkie for the heads-up on this issue)

Instructions- the simplest EVER, included in a readme. This manual update is for you guys who cannot, or will not, connect your C12 dbox to the web. For those who have- just click on 'Online Updates' in the System Menus, and hit the red button!

The updates are compatible for both 1x and 2x boxes. But they are for Commando 12 only, and NOT for peeps still running C11.3.11 or earlier!! Reflash with Commando 12 please, then update...

Hi guys, am using a Nokia Dbox 2 with a 2X image. Just upgraded to Commando 12, but sadly on service scan am not picking up any channels. Funny thing is when I import my old Bouquets as well as Service files am able to get my previous channels. All working OK. Tho ITV 2 is getting renamed by the box to QVC shopping channel.(Any ideas why???)

When doing a fresh scan I have the following settings:- (Am in Ireland)

Scan Type:- All Services
Bouquet Mode:- Create New VM-Set
Cable Provider:- Chorus Ireland
Scan Mode:- UK Brute Force
AutoScan:- On

Still with this I get nothing

EPG is set to :- Standard VM EPG
Softcams are:- Mg=Off & Evo=On
Ucode =001A
Free Memory on /Dev/Root is 2528.

Now guys what can I be doing wrong. 11.3.11 was scanning OK though it did at times bring up some channels that never showed anything, that kept saying Loading EPG for ages.

Now this 1 fails to scan any channels though Transponders are OK. Tried other Providers, and all same.
Please Help........

Is there no way you can establish the Fast Scan details for your area? You only need your NetID and Frequency (which can be found in the EM of a subbed box). Enter these in the Fast Scan submenu, and toggle the SymRate to 6875, Save and Scan.

SML info for ROI is very sparse, as there's been little or no feedback on this.

Hi,

Firstly my thanks to all involved in this image, great work again

Happy to report everthing installed fine on my Sagem 2x. Recording to internal hdd all working fine.
I do have an issue with epg which started following upgrading from C11.3.07 to C11.3.11 and seems to still be present in C12.
Basically I have tried standard VM 24hr and am currently set to 2 days epg on channels 1-60 (Ultra safe) however both modes pull in epg when started but after a few hours the epg goes completely blank (info bar states waiting for epg)and only a reboot will bring the epg back.
Ram is 14428K and Space is 2612K with Channel icons and XFS file system added to standard image.
I am going to test the other settings and will report back.
Any suggestions as to cause would be appreciated.

Hi,

Changed EPG preference to 4 days and did not need to reboot as EPG began to repopulate immediately, will report back in a few hours.

Put it into Standby for half an hour then wake it up. You should see 4 Days EPG on the filtered channels (and >12 hrs Long Descriptions), with N+n epg on the rest (again, with Long Descriptions).

And you didn't state which area you're in! Pure, TW, or ex-C+W?

Hi AL,

Am in Bradford (Telewest I believe), Epg seems to populate fine initially but will then go completely blank. I am currently timing it as I switched the modes at about 10.00am and at the moment the epg is fine.
