should just need a quick box reboot to set LCD working again. whenever you commit a new location using the "set my location" in blue button menu the lcd is locked with a flag in /tmp. but then neutrino is restarted, the lcd lock flag in /tmp is not deleted so the lcd remains locked. once you've set location and scanned for your new channels, just reboot and lcd should work fine.

well at least we know streaming works, thanks!

Nice to see that you finally let an image escape m8!

Working here no probs on a Sagem x1 box. (was it ever in doubt?)

Nice boot logo & boot info - not seen the one with network info included before!
Audio Player, Movie Player, Picture Viewer, Internet radio, Tuxbox Commander & radio text!
Full HDD support as well, but no UPNP!
Even got a couple of games there I note.

Loaded it up with some additional files incl. icons: 92% full - 640K only free. Enough to give AL a coronary

Memory 20,964K used, with 50 channels in epgfilter after 2hrs+ uptime.
Not tried the scanning, but SML blanks LCD until a re-boot, as indicated in last post.

Nice work!

Cheers!

Nice work, LraiZer! When I saw the Boot Logo, I thought for a minute I was looking in the mirror!

But what's a macho guy like him doing, carrying a Transformer toy around with him?

Was pleased to see the bootinfo Network settings showed pretty much the same ones as I always use. But when I went into Settings > Network - DHCP was ON, and all the manual ip fields were blank. Strange...

LCD bug

You appear to be using a new shellexec that's hard-coded into the binary. I think it's this that's creating the unwanted /tmp/lcd.locked and /tmp/rc.locked flags, after a killall -9 shellexec command. Easy fix that I've just tested:

Add these three lines to the bottom of /bin/smls and there is then no need for a reboot:
Code:

killall -9 neutrino
killall -9 shellexec
rm -f /tmp/lcd.locked
rm -f /tmp/rc.locked
exit 0
All I will say about Free Space is that you have a bit more than a DeitmarW jffs2 neutrino image!

All I will say about Free Space is that you have a bit more than a DeitmarW jffs2 neutrino image!

1) network settings were blank because i didnt use any network settings. they are auto detected for each individual users network at boot. mine boots with my network specific settings too.

2) yea, its the new shellexec plugin, so are the new msgbox and new input plugins in the image. snowhead gave up his code under GPL to the tuxbox cvs. i translated a few bits to english and compiled these myself. these versions are what you will be using in future when you compile them yourself directly from the tuxbox cvs. the new cdkinfo that shows network settings is also now default in cvs too

3) i must admit my lazyness in all this now as i acutally knew about the bug before i posted the image and thought about adding that exact same fix but that would of meant another compile, but i just thought NA FORGET IT, its only a one off glitch when you first do a scan. considering this is just a compiled image using the base image diffs and a few config commands with an added sml file thrown on, the whole creation only took about 2 hrs to make from start to finish. ive really not changed anything from a default compiled image using the base image diffs and didnt really put to much effort into this at all LOL. the hardest and most time consuming part was finding an old army picture of PaphosAL to make the boot logo.

4) as for space, considering what is loaded under the bonnet ready to use, im more than happy to put this out with just 900k free left. thats more than enough room left so that users can add any little extras they may wish to add

no need for an epgfilter, and one with name only entries in it wont work anyway as you cant get 7day epg with this image. its just a bog standard sectionsd with max settings of 1day epg and 24hr long descriptions, which is what it is currently set at. yes, free space is nearly full and mem WILL fill up if you keep looking at it, so i suggest you dont but i bet if you never looked at these and you run your box 24/7 you wont notice any difference in operation or anything going crash bang (famous last words lol)
