For IDE-HDD users who want to try Commando 10 and test XFS (and FEEDBACK!!)- here's a Tarball that will load the two largish files needed for setting up XFS support.

Waste of space T-C including these in the release image, as 99% of C10 users won't be needing them, so they'd be excess baggage.

Unrar the file and FTP the xfs-add.tar.bz2 file to the /tmp folder in dbox. As soon as you've done so, a new menu item will appear in the blue button > System Menu > IDE-HDD Menu to add the XFS support files into the image.

Once you've done this, that menu item vanishes, and is replaced by a another new item to Install XFS (or similar).

So if the one or two dbox IDE-HDD XFS users in the UK would like to try it and let T-C know if it actually works or not, I'm sure they'd appreciate it!

Cheers- AL

What can I say renny another top quality commando image, nice and stable here running on Sagem 1x,nice crisp picture and quick channel change and that boot image with the sheep fooking class pmsl,

Just a couple of things to note epg wont work here in Dublin unless you change the sectionsd to a earlier version,I'm guessing its the 7 day epg one thats in this image which doesnt work here,
The options under the Commando System menu are tooooo sensitive when I went to set my location it just picked a random one as I was scrolling down but next time pressing the coresponding key worked perfect.Have also had two fta reboots while scrolling through the Commando System menu.(Then again it could be just me)

Congrats to yourself and AL who I know put in a lot of work on this image and to anyone else I may have missed

FreddyFrog's new 7 Day EPG

I'm glad to see that T-C have implemented Freddy's revised version in style!

What's new?

Default EPG across the board is now restricted to Now 'n Next only
T-C have kindly made the correct EPG setup for you
and daily overnight Timers (Blue > Yellow to view/edit these) to refresh
and included Help Text in /var/tuxbox/config/zapit/epgfilter.xml

Freddy has now changed the method by which the epgfilter.xml file functions. You now add the 100 (ish) channels in there that you DO want 7 Day Epg for, rather than the 200 (ish) channels that you don't! 10 minute copy 'n paste jobbie from your bouquets.xml file...

I've tested this today- and it loads the FULL 7 days in 5-6 minutes, compared to 20+ mins with the previous version. Wicked! You just switch to the PVR_EPG channel to suck the data in- eazy peazy!

Well done Freddy- and to T-C for being the first to use this great feature!

Cheers- AL
