What's new?

IDE-HDD now running sweet-as! Test feedback from our resident Chief Tester, LraiZer:

it detects, mounts, records and plays my pre-formated xfs ide-hdd fine now, thanks!

changed settings to Filesystem EXT2 and used HDD Initalise to reformat to ext2.
this detects, mounts, records and plays the re-formatted ext2 ide-hdd fine.

changed settings back to Filesystem XFS and used HDD Initalise to reformat back to xfs.
this detects, mounts, records and plays the reformatted xfs ide-hdd fine.

Good work, LraiZer! Thanks for your time, trouble and knowledge, m8!

Infobar EPG bug sorted! Virtual Zap is now set to ON by default, so when you left or right arrow key to see what's on adjacent channels, you can now arrow down again, to see what's on later, instead of getting the dreaded EPG not loaded... error. Was a bug in the cvs; now fixed.

Features Menu (Blue button)- Softcam menu now has dbox button assigned to it, instead of Red button. Se we don't now get two menu items each with a Red button, if you have Recording activated (which it is now). Turn Recording OFF in Settings, if you don't want this to appear in Features menu.

You will need to reflash an image using IFA. Theres a video Tut in the guides section.

cheers, Freddy

Phonetically, kline system would be Klein meaning small system. You're seeing something more serious: Kein System = NO System!!

It's IFA for you now- Image Flashing Assistant. Meanwhile, I'll see if I can replicate this strange behaviour of trying to make a function work, without first having set it up to tell neutrino what it's supposed to do????

Cheers- AL

I'm up and running again, got cams and roms from my blade image, all is working but epg only works on bbc1, any reason for this? It's been working for 9 months on blade just fine.

That's because you haven't populated your epgfilter.xml file yet, m8. So it's only picking up the one channel (BBC One) I put in there as a starter guide.

Read the help notes at the top of the file. It's in the var/tuxbox/config/zapit folder, where your bouquets.xml lives, and which you copy lines from to paste into the filter file.

When you have around 80 to 100 of your favourites in there, you must reboot in order for your new filter to be read into memory.

Also, ensure you have a data channel called PVR_EPG in one of your bouquets. Switching to that channel for 5 to 10 mins is what loads the 7 Days EPG in for your favourite channels, with the remaining shite channels all limited to Now 'n Next epg only.

Press Blue then Yellow to view/edit the automatic daily Timers that do this for you while you're fast akip each night. If you're in TW or exC&W, these Timers will prolly need editing to look something like the screenshot attached.

Cheers- AL

Hi,

Thanks for the update.
Unfortunately, I still can't nfs mount anything .
Fortunately, I found out what was the problem.
You'll need to upload sunrpc.o in /lib/modules/2.4.36.6-dbox2/kernel/net/sunrpc <- this is a new folder, so the full path to the file is /lib/modules/2.4.36.6-dbox2/kernel/net/sunrpc/sunrpc.o from another image.
Then you'll need to load that library and 2 others like so:
Code:
insmod /lib/modules/2.4.36.6-dbox2/kernel/net/sunrpc/sunrpc.o
insmod /lib/modules/2.4.36.6-dbox2/kernel/fs/lockd/lockd.o
insmod /lib/modules/2.4.36.6-dbox2/kernel/fs/nfs/nfs.o
Then you'll be able to nfs mount stuff!
The startup script probably needs to be changed to load those libs on startup

Sorry about that Freddy- but someone (it was either Speedy or nitr8, but most likely Speedy, during CF dev) deffo confirmed that sunrpc.o wasn't used for anything on neutrino dbox2.

Looks like Renny needs to replant it, if you're sure it's an essential.

BTW- I'm all ready for the 'next generation' switchable sectionsd with nationwide epgfilter selection menus, when you are, m8.

Cheers- AL

Well, I'm not sure when I'll have the time to make the "automatically add channels to"/"add to 7 days EPG" changes to the current switchable sectionsd you're testing at the mo? Is that one good enough for now? Can't wait to see your new menu

Speaking of menus, I can't see those libs I'm talking about loading in the start/rcS scripts... do we (hum, the we as in Renny lol) need(s) to add a load NFS into kernel menu option somewhere to create a /etc/.nfs that will load the libs if the .nfs is there... or something! ??

I didn't notice your screenshots! Menu looks fantastic! Is that going to be for commando10c (maybe with NFS mounting support ) ?

Sorry, Freddy- I hadn't realized that you had upped a dual-sectionsd m8. We're now running with this- and it has tested out superbly!

Once we find out what today's Attachment problem is- you'll be able to try 10c yourself; meanwhile, check out the Read Me:

http://www.ukcvs.org/Forums/showthre...6310#post16310

Renny thinks he's sorted your NFS issue- let us know asap please.

Cheers- AL
