### C10d-SS4.1 Enigtrino2 ###
Developer Last Online: Feb 2012
To celebrate the 1st Anniversary of Black Tuesday (when rom7 was subjected to a cowardly and vicious terrorist attack, with g*box and newcamd getting mortally wounded in collateral damage)- AL proudly presents:
Enigtrino2 !! Commando 10d Laid Bare and SS-Enigma 4.1 Skinny - both in the same JFFS2 image! The download rar contains the 2x Image (use Image Converter to convert it to 1x Flash w/o Bootloader format, if you're one of those sad Sagem 1x owners)- and also the 3 readme files for 'the story so far' - all in pdf format. These cover SS-Engima 4, all flavours of Commando 10, and my original Enigtrino release notes. I've packaged it like this because some sites (like Digital Kaos and Techno-Source) only allow one attachment. It's FTA as released, so contains no emus, keys, nor roms. For testing, please don't wade in like a bull in a china shop and start adding your own stuff in. This file contains everything you might need (and no more!): Code:
http://www.mercs.us/crypt/enigtrino2_+pack.rar First thing you'll notice as the C10d BootInfo screen appears is LraiZer's new LCD Bootmenu! This gives you a choice of Commando 10 or SS-Enigma4 at boot up! More on this later, but for now- please allow C10 to boot, so we can look at some of the new Blue Button stuff... ![]() Note item 2- my new 'fast-track' method of creating a Flash w/o Bootloader backup image. Also works in a Telnet session, if you just type backup (nb- always carry out a reboot before making a backup, as this clears the EPG cache). New item on the Yellow button, so let's have a decko at that... ![]() Look at the Green button! Yes- this is FreddyFrog's latest Tri-mode sectionsd having it's premiere!! For all you guys who struggled with the different types of epgfilter in the past- this new feature is what you've been looking for!! For the more experienced users, you can still choose a 'Selective' epg filter by pressing Yellow for this menu: ![]() You'll also be pleased to know that the previous bug, which caused the cam to die in EPG Standard mode, now seems to have vanished. Assuming you already have a decent set of neutrino services and bouquets, then use them to overwrite my 'pure' 5401 files. If you don't, then Set Your Location, allow the reboot- then do a Fast Scan. Then we can look at the final exciting innovation in Enigtrino2... From the first System Menu, press Blue for 'Enigtrino Treats': ![]() (nb: the G*box item is not in the release image, but comes with a Support pack in the +pack file mentioned earlier). The new Red button is a demonstration of UkCvs Image Feedback in action! Someone suggested this as a useful idea- so cydine kindly (and brilliantly) scripted it. So I've left the Enigma services and bouquets totally blank this time around, to give you the chance to try this out. Which is why I said to stay in Commando mode, LOL! Once your stuff has been copied to Enigma, this menu item becomes de-activated. *** An interesting discovery was made during dev & testing this feature: cydine's end took under 2 mins to complete, but my end was taking 20 mins plus. Dicovered the culprit- I was using a compressed busybox file, he wasn't. I found that once I'd switched to the usual full-size busybox file, his script now only took 1 min 6 secs to run on my dbox! Not only that, but boot time, shell menus and messagebox pop-ups were now seriously much faster, too! You clock the difference! *** You'll also notice the familiar Reboot to SS-Enigma v4 Mode - selecting this will then make SS-Enigma the default boot Image. Using the LCD Bootmenu: The current default is highlighted; to change it, use the Up or Down arrow and wait the 5 seconds for it to time out. If you press OK before the time-out, it might 'hang' on the bootinfo screen, or it might not... 1.9mb Free Space 'out of the tin' - which will drop to around 1.74mb after you've added the educational stuff for test purposes. Enjoy!! Mega thanks again to Renny and SatSearching; the rest of you who've helped are all in lights in the Hall of Fame and Roll of Honour, LOL!! Cheers- AL ![]() __________________________________________________ _______ Note for Admin on other Boards: We have no objection to sharing this Image with your Members if you wish, subject to the following conditions:

Thanks for the reply Al m8, yeah read the notes, maybe didnt explain myself proper lol, cant even view fta channels if i press ok or 1 to 5 number on remote it comes up with no channels found please do a scan, but when i first install the image with your services in, it will go to say bbc1 but obviously say channel not available, but as soon as i do a scan or put my services in i get the no channels found please do a scan box.
It appears no one else is having problems so it must be me or my end lol, but i have been playing around with these boxes for quite a few years now and thought i new what i was doing but looks like i was wrong lol. Derek eEdit Just read your post LraiZer m8, yes i was copying over my buckets aswell, but didnt change the setting to create new, going to try that now cheers |

Bloody good point, Lraizer! I should have made it clear that TW and C+W users were better off deleting my neutrino 'pure' services and buckets altogether, if they didn't already have there own to overwrite mine to start with...
But in this situation, the culprit is probably the fact that I've left the default Zapit Config menu item Show Unsorted Bouquets? set to NO... Change this to YES - then all the channels just scanned should appear in a new Unsorted bouquet- which is Bouquet Editor time, LOL! Cheers- AL

@derek: I know for certain you have a working set of services and bouquets files for your area, so just overwrite mine with yours, then either Reload Channel Lists in Services, or reboot.
How do I know for certain? Well, it's your C+W_epgfilter.xml we're using- and you couldn't have created that without the services and buckets in the first place, LOL! Cheers- AL

Thanks lads working a treat now, @Al, first thing i did was delete your serv and buckets and copy over mine but still couldnt get anything, it was the show unsrted set to no that was the problem, and the fact that when i copy my buckets to my pc for backup i allways rename them so i know which i have in use, (this is were you can all laugh lol) i had spelt it wrong so the box wasnt reading it and put all the channels in unsorted and as it was set to no didnt show them lol.
Cheers Derek ah- so you bought one of Nj's keyboards, too, eh? pmsl - AL

You have got to be impressed with this image, enigma and neutrino in one as got to be the best it gets, still prefer neutrino but to be able to try enigma with such ease is a plus indeed.
Picture quality is excellent, channel change is fast and smooth, can not fault it at all, credit to Al and ren and all involved. Yeah Al these bloody keyboards never type what you tell em lol. Derek |

Proactive response to constructive Feedback over on DWZ. I've conferred with cydine, and he agrees- I'm a muppet. WHY did I release Enigtrino2 with his wonderful Neutrino to Enigma services and bouquets Copier script menued as a 'One Hit Wonder'?? Doohhh...
I should have thought this through more thoroughly; updating services and bouquets is an ongoing exercise. And as we'll be doing this in the Neutrino environment - we'll naturally want to mirror those updates across to the Enigma half too. So I cannot really expect peeps to have to connect up with FTP, then manually delete their Enigma stuff (running the risk of accidentally blitzing their vital Enigma config file in the process), just to re-activate the shell menu item again- that's plain stupid. So here's an update patch for Enigtrino2, all fully-tested and idiot-proof. Two small files to txfr and overwrite, and that's it! No reboot needed. Now, the copier script will carry on working and updating straight from the menu, like I really should have made it do in the first place!! There's a little readme in there too, so you know what goes where. Cheers- AL

Great Image Al and team, so many thanks.
Its my first try of the Enigtrino image and i must say its fantastic. Ive always liked SS's enigma images so to have both in one is a real treat. All worked as it says on the tin, smooth and fast with excellent picture quality again. The feature to convert neutrino to enigma services and & bouquets is just great. All your hard work and hours much appreciated. Freddy |

Another update patch, and again- thanks to Feedback on DWZ... Does this tell us here on UK_cvs something??
Bug: Enigma transponder clock still on GMT Reason: missing /etc/localtime (1kb) Fix: Pop this little fella into the /etc/ folder (not /var/etc/) and restart your box. All times in C10d and SS4.1 should now be on BST, including correct EPG tables. The file doesn't need chmodding, btw. My bad... I overlooked this file when bolting enigtrino2 together, oops! Cheers- AL

Hey there guys, I downloaded this image from DK and the update patch from DWZ, anyway what can I say here apart from what has been mentioned about the local time on enigmah (I see you have posted a fix) this image is the dogs danglies. All the errors I was getting with C10d (The latest one) and also entrigo1 are fixed. As i documented before my errors surrounded the 7 day epg and the cam being killed off after a switch to pvr channel. This is all now fixed.
As for the image itself the neutrino side runs like a dream on my sagem 1x. The enigmah side gives me a few freeze ups, but to be honest i think it is still box specific I think my old box is on its way out. It will be a sad day indeed as I dont think I would take a chance on a dbox2 from germany these days due to the fact that most of the good uns have gone. I think the new feature to import your neutrino channel list over to enigmah is a cracking idea. It works without issue too. 1 little suggestion is id rather see the default zapit setting set to unhide the unsorted, as I personally like to see what new channels are appearing, but thats not a big deal and im more than capable of changing the required setting, im just really thinking of other users who dont like to "fiddle". Another thing about all the latest images is i see the ability to select the correct avai driver doesnt seem to be readily available. Once again I personally liked this feature as it gave users like me with a "flakey" box the ability to change the avai driver and this did seem to work for me on some images. Overall though its a fantastic image. Seems to have cured most of the bugs that were in the last couple of releases. As for feedback - You guys all came from DWZ as well as many other places. My thoughts are that if you had 10,000+ members then this forum would be the one where all the feedback was being posted. Not knocking this place though as personally i enjoy comming here just to read up on the technical advances you developers are making, without all the other clutter that messes up a forum as big as DWZ. Just my 2p worth..... |

Nice feedback thanks, Diddy! Two points-
1) The days of a menu selectable aVia driver are long over, m8. Ze Germans modded the cvs to examine whether your box is 500 or 600, and loads the appropriate driver on startup. Personally, I hate this. Images now have to have both drivers in them. Before, I found that just the 600 driver sufficed, as this was fine on 500 nokias. Now if I try this trick, I have a non-bootable box, ffs! So much for progress... 2) What cam is running for you in C10d mode? And what cam in SS4 mode? (Long press on blue for the Extras menu in there). And how many cams have you put in /var/bin/emu ? Cheers- AL
