DBOX STBs

Posted by aandrew at All-forums.co.uk:

Using remote

1. Press the blue button and you will be in the features menu, scroll to Tuxbox Commander, press OK.

You should now be looking at the files on the D Box.

2. Scroll to VAR and press ok, If you don’t see VAR, scroll to <DIR> & press ok, if you still don’t see VAR scroll to the next <DIR> and press ok, keep doing this until VAR appears on the screen

3. When you find the VAR file and you press OK, scroll to Keys & press OK

4. Scroll to Keylist.txt and press 4 on your remote control! It is important that you don’t press OK when you scroll to keylist.txt , you must press 4 in order to edit the code that will appear! If you pressed OK in error , just press the Home button and start again.

5. After pressing 4 you should be looking at a screen with /var/keys/keylist.txt at the top, 4 or 5 codes in the middle and numbers 1 to 9 at the bottom.

6. Now you need to scroll to the code that you are going to change.

7. When you have have scrolled to code you want to change press OK, When you press OK, the code becomes slightly larger and the first digit changes colour to red, this is now your cursor! thats it

sorry i can not give out live keys on this site as against the rules

but im sure others used a toolbar before and maybe others may help

but please keep all activity thats against the rules away from this site

cheers

I thought the autoupdate sorted this out. Will there be a new fix for this?

Gav, I've manually entered the keys into a Nokia 2x running a new post April image and all is Ok, I've then copied the new keylist generated by the box when it cleared and pasted this into my Sagem 1X running a very old sportster image with the updated April ROM7 fix but nothing will clear. I have also tried deleting all entries in keylist.txt and re-booting but the file remains empty. Is this new issue not ROM7 related? I think I should I update my old Sportster image this weekend to see if this works. Any thoughts/advice much appreciated.

Hi you need to google for a certain BIG toolbar that will give you all you need. You may even be able to google for keymaster, a small download that retrieves keys for all areas. Hope this helps MAQ
