dbox2 - how do i upload ronald McDonald via wireless?

hello people
dont worry i have checked the video tutorials etc.

i am currently using the manual code process into fixing my dbox2.
but ive got the fix now (im sure everyone else has)

i just want to know, how would i do the wireless method?

the video turner123 has done is showing how to do it in kein system mode.

mine isnt in the kein system mode, it just needs the new file ftp'ing into the dbox.

step by step would be great! i can then pass the knowledge on to others!

just plug your dbox into the router then setup the ftp proggy just as you would hardwired but dont worry about the nic ip as your wireless watch setting up ftp vid but leave the nic bit out

no m8 just reply here as this is a small tut in its self you have a problem im here along with others to help and guide you through so when some1 else comes along and they have simular sort of problem can read the thread and follow and also get sorted

turner, i just got my laptop turned on. n i just want to know if i should disconnect my internet connection from my PC?

my pc wired to the router.
my laptop is wireless.

obviously the ftp will be done wirelessly via my laptop, just want to know if you want the internet unplugged or if its ok too keep it plugged in?

Then i am a TOTAL newbie to the FTP thing (i have used it online not for the dbox)

I have only just sussed how to flash a dbox (and that was the RS232 cable only!)

so where do i start if you want to do it that way

if you are connected to the router with your lappy then thats a start give your dbox a ip as in the vid tuts then plug it into the router next open your ftp proggy enter what i have put on the vid tuts ie label dbox2 host 192.168......... user password etc hit connet and you shud connect m8 its really simple...then ftp the file into the required folder K*ys overrite existing reboot box job done

ello mate, set the dbox up, just about to set my connection up on the lappy.

relised that on your tutorial (obviously it not the wireless one)

you goto:

local area conn - right click properties
internet protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4)....

because im doing this wirelessly, do i still use the local area conn, or do it on the wireless connection?

no mate you dont need to set the local area as your not using that your wirless card is already set and will connect to the box once ftp is set up
