Default dbox2 - sagem, hard wired, connected, but access denied?

aryt people need to know why it returning a error saying:

STATUS:> [date/time] Connecting to FTP data socket.... 192.168.100.202:61649
[date/time] 553 Could not create file.
ERROR:> [date/time] Access denied.

that what happens when i try to upload a file into var/keys/

any help?

i quick guess i think its something to do with the rights (as this is FTP)

read, write & execute is it?

but i am unable to check ive done it manually via the dbox remot and it wont let me change any rights (if that is the correct direction im going in?)

Your image might be corrupted in some way eg gone read only.

reflash with a fresh image and try again........I'm sure this will sort your problem.

I've seen this issue or very similar a few times when my network has failed, and the dbox has tried recording to /mnt/recordings... which ended up recording a short piece and filled up the hard drive... if you use the box to record, unmount the folders and check the mount path to make sure there are no files there.

the dbox isnt used to record. how do i unmount folders?

cheers pal, yeah i tried to do anything i could on the image, ie. back it up via the remote.. and then check the path in the FTP..

nothing at all would save so it went "read-only"!
