Hi

Dont know what the rest of the log means but your snr and sig levels are fine but ber is high but I I have seen them working with high bers before.

I assume you have set location and checked thet netid and your symb rate is correct for your area and have you tried changing ucodes.

There is a test you can do that might determine tuner is working or not.

Someone posted this test elsewhere dont know who.

If you can, take a normal aerial cable and plug the RF out on the dbox into the aerial socket on your TV.. If you tune in the analog channels on your TV you should get some FTA channels, i.e. bbc, itv, etc. if you don't get any channels the tuner is gubbed!

Hope this helps

Regards

Let us no if this works for you, I tried this on one a while back and didnt work for me but thats probably down to me lol.

One thing did you ftp your own services to the box. or have you only tried the scanning and its not finding any channels.

always use my own services m8, but i did try a full scan also and nothing, getting a multi meter today coz in the dbox bible this is covered :-

You need the following currents on a cable tuner

I will write more details about the origin of these currents and more details about them further below.

You may find that even you can check for all these currents you still get channel not available or Error UD4 (Betanova). On Cable boxes the Transistor BFG94 can be the cause of this fault. This transistor is located within the Input amplifier and is supposed to amplify the incoming signal. Please see the attached Picture left and the layout is similar within the Dbox tuner. The example picture is a standard usage for this kind of transistor (datasheet).
copied from the dbox bible

This is not as easy as it looks m8, i bought a duff box from ebay, Yea, i new it was a duff box as the guy said so in his auction, he gave me the transistor that was needed to fix the problem as he saw it, when i looked into the tuner i could see that someone had already fitted a new trannie, so i took the box to a work collaegue who is an electronic engineer who has worked on digital boards for some twenty years, when he looked at the tuner he could see there was heat damage to the trannie,so he replaced the trannie with the new one, and tided up the damage that was done with excess heat that had been put on the part, so m8 you really need a thermostatic soldering iron with a very, very thin rod on the end, as it is very easy to damage the trannie and suroundng components, CHEERS
