C10 and 7 Day EPG Problems

Hi all,

Just put this image on my box and am really happy with the pic quality and features. Big thanks to all involved with this image.

I have followed the help text in the epg filter xml to the letter and have tried several times but can not get the 7 day epg to work. The most I get is now and next, on some channels the epg is not loaded.

Any help please guys

The main point that has always applied to FreddyFrog's 7 Day EPG feature is that after you've built your epgfilter.xml file (which you syntax error check by 'opening' it with IE7; if you get an error- it will tell you where your bug is)- you then have to carry out these two vital steps:

1) Reboot- so that neutrino reads your new file into memory, and
2) Switch to the PVR_EPG channel for 5mins, or maybe 10 mins, depending on how many channels you placed into the filter to pull in 7 Days info for.

Don't give up- you're very close. We'll debug your filter file for you, if you can't spot a problem. Just rar or zip it and attach to a post.

PaphosAL m8, is there any chance you could check the winrar file i uploaded with my epgfilter.xlm in it, as im not getting the 7 day programs, just the now & next, THANKX

Looks like you edited with a non Unix friendly editor. I opened it in notepad2 (google it and download it now lol!) and went File->Line endings->Unix then re-saved it, it should work now.

Same problem and same fix as above, I'm pretty sure Al mentioned that you should use a Unix friendly editor. Yours is attached as well.

One word of notice for everyone else - I won't convert any epgfilter files from now on !

Fred, I downloaded your file but still get the same result. I'm sure it must be something I'm doing/not doing.

Try switching onto the pvr_epg channel for 10 minutes and see if it changes.If you dont go on this channel ie with the timers or manually you will only get a few hours of epg.also reboot your box once you have put the new epgfilter.xml in...
