Talking Dbox 2 question

Can i blank the box flash a blank image and get the box back up and running

got a box at the minute that wont pick up channels. flashed a new image but i think i messed up somehow. box works swiches on can ftp back and fourth. but pick up no channels.

uploaded the new rom set and still no joy, i think i might need a new service and bouqets file.

one more thing, if i have no service or bouqets files, can i just do a scan and create them.

Before you perform a service scan you must set your location, usually via the blue button menu, then reboot the box.
If you have a services.xml and bouquets.xml why dont you FTP them to var/tuxbox/config/zapit then using remote press dbox > service > reload channel lists. Even if they are not bang up to date it's a start.... then once you figure out the scanning you can update them via the dbox built in bouquet editor - found in the service menu.

Cheers mate, i sorted it out though, after messing around and getting a bad flash of a blade image, used IFA to fix the box,

Important thing is make sure to have coax plugged in thats one of the reasons i got no channels,

Up and running again with laky sylus and more channels than before,

Best regards
