commando 5 scanning problems...

Hi,

I have a Dbox2 with an old cammando 5 version, was working fine until latest nagrarom7 fix on 27th Nov. The scanner is now only picking up limited channels. I am in the le1cester area. Can anyone advise of suitable fix so that all channels can be scanned for.

I have some progress. I have manually updated services & bouquets files and all the channel came back. So clearly there is are changes in capturing (scanning) the channel via the tuner when nagrarom7 changes were made. Can anyone confirm is this could be the case.

I would get a more recent image and reflash to be honest.

One with SetMyLocation, then do a full scan.

Laky Stylus and Commando 10 are the 2 latest images i have tried which are both great.

Just my view, but i would think the best way...

Just make sure you have the correct "files" backed up before you flash new image across.

As mentioned flash a recent image onto your box try com 10 or the lacky-sylas image - then set your location and do a fast scan (not forgetting to transfer across the appropriate working files).

Im not sure/can't remember what the service screen on on Comm 5 looks like but yours should be set up for nthell netid should be 00012, frequency 643000 and symbol rate 6887.

This is the first instance that I have heard of that the update cc did in Nov means you cannot pick up all the channels - im pretty sure in saying that that should not be the case.

But as mentioned I will be back in Leicester next week so I will have a more uptodate service and bouquet files for you by boxing day - but please do continue to work on the current challenge you are facing!
