can i ftp my dbox using vista or do i need xp
i heared there can be problems using vista.

i ftp with vista and have no problems at all.I dont change any settings just setup your ftp program with the necessary ip address,user name (root) and password(commando or dbox) and your good to go..

also go into network and sharing, change tcp/ipv4 to 1 digit less than the dbox ip address

Default is it easier
thanks folks
is it easier than using null modem i can do that with my labtop but takes over an hour to do,and i can put games on this way

by the way forgot to say ive a wireless network will this make ftp awkward to use

I had problems going through my router. it better to conect the dbox to the computer with a cross over network cabe directly.

Make sure you have the correct version of FTP for vista ??
