Strange thing happen today...

Hi,

I was wondering if this is something to worry about. a very strange thing happen today on mu DBox2. I am running an old cammando 5 works well for me. In the surrey area.

Was watching asian Star Plus channel sudden the box frooze and a message appeared.

"We ae coming to your home..... www......"

I reset the dbox2 everything works fine - has anyone experience this and is it something to be worried about?

lol - I think somebody was playing a trick on you. Have you got your DBOX connected directly to the internet, or is it port forwarded on your router? It's probably just a harmless prank

ha ha i did the exact same trick to a friend who i set it up were it was connected to his router and sent a message via yweb and it popped up on his tv screen, nothing to worry about as speedy said

Thank you for your note. The dbox is not connected to the internet in anyway, hence my concern. It seems to be a boradcast rather than an interventions, hence I had to reset the box.

They would have no reason to call to your home your box does not talk to the cc it is the fraud page that is coming up on all of these type of box other than the cc original boxes,and to tell you the truth there is people giving up there boxes as they think they are going to jail lol ,,no matter what I try to tell them I got 2 boxes really cheap because of this lol

dont worry and the image your using the creators have made several others that are far better quality but if its not broke dont fix it

Many thanks for your comments. Agreed as it is not broke and works well (with my dbox), so will stay with it. I do have another box. Interested in your thoughts as to the best current image to use.
