commando help

i currently have commando 7.5 installed on my dbox2
i want to upgrade to commando 10 but what files do i have to save from my old image?

is the commando image ok or is there a better image for the dbox
mine at the moment freezes after midnight and for some reason itv2 and itv3 has stopped working even after rescanning

as much as i would love to flash and ask questions later i have to ask questions first in order to get new image, so whilst i have to post i may as well make the most of asking important (to me) questions

For test and educational purposes only:

Whichever softcam your box is stablest with from var/bin/emu (you only need one cam). This MUST be set to chmod 755 else it won't work!

and these files from var/keys/:

For evocamd- Autoupdate.Key & camd_cfg
or mgcamd- AutoRoll.Key & mg_cfg
nagraepr7.bin
nagraram7.bin
nagrarom7.bin (cydine's fixed 28 Nov version)

Also, your bouquets.xml & services.xml files from var/tuxbox/config.zapit

Hi m8 ftp your bouquets files from the tucbox config zapit folder on to your pc ,,and do the same for the keys ,,from var keys folder and then when you have your new image on the box transfer them again to the propper folders again and remember to chmod the files to 755 when transfered ,thats it simple really once you have done it once ,its gets more familar to you hope this helps

Hehe... Only the softcam needs 755, m8. Everything in /var/keys is quite happy with the default 644. By 'everything'- I mean the 5 files (and only 5) that I've listed above. The other crap you often find in that folder simply isn't needed. Nor is rom10 / rom11 kit.

M8 thats not to nice now you were told how to put on the new image try it before asking is there any better there somes guys here made it

Paps I new that lol I took out the rom10s and 11 from 1 of my boxes kept them in another,,and done the same with my dream box no difference or is there?Here have some Lunch on me

Well they are great images the 7.5 if I remember only had an issue with the time auto changing but that got fixed jesus how did I remember that lol and on one of my boxes it would freeze now and again but I only had to change channel I didnt mind as it was only a click away lol,,then the team brought out the commando 8, 8.2 ,9 9.25 and now 10 for give me team if I have missed some lol and they are great images but dont just take my word for it try it ,,,,and not to forget there is loads more image,s out there to tell you the truth I just love trying them all keeps my mind a wee bit up to date instead of getting an image on and maybe working for a couple of years and coming back and asking people how to do it again as most of the forums have members like this ? well that enough of me ranting ,,

My own personal fav image is the Sportster 1.10 fantastic image on my Plasma all the way

im trying to set up commando 10 upgrading from 9.5 and have copied all the keys to /var/keys and chmodded them to 755 but channels still wont decode. With 9.5 i had the same problem but just had to select which emu to use, but I cant see where to do this in commando 10. Any help is much appreciated.
