Default Logoviewer Probs on XP

ok, i'm resizing my .JPG to 720-576, reducing to 256 colours and saving as a .BMP - then loading into logoviewer, saving 'no' to black frame around it but it's just a blank black image - any ideas what i'm doing wrong

i'm using Paint Shop Pro

i've got the LCD one sorted - this is for the boot screen

Never had any probs with logo viewer, i just let logo viewer do the conversion and upload to box, although you dont get full screen its ok for me, i use it to put a pic of one of the kids when they were young, always good for a laugh when they come round and i reboot box lol.

i use TMPGEnc to convert to .m1v file using the following template

MPEG-1 720x576 25fps CBR 12000kbps

MOS- once you have the preview piccy in the Logoviewer logo-fb window, you ARE saving it 'as' filename_logo-fb aren't you?

The file will then be saved to your chosen folder as filename_logo-fb.mvi

You then remove the .mvi extension and txfr it to dbox as logo-fb

And you don't need to resize the source image nor convert it to .bmp nor drop the colors to 256 either- Logoviewer handles all this for you.

To finish up with a plain black boot logo suggests you're doing summat wrong regarding transparency settings back in PSP.

Cheers- AL

it just doesn't appear in the preview window - i just get a black screen.

However, i've managed to use dark matters way of doing it with TmpgEnc
