Default Channels Freezing/Chirping

Hi Guys got this irritating problem, over the last week a few channels have started to freeze and picture is unwatchable, even had music coming out of one which shouldn't have been.

This is what i got. Nokia Dbox2 running Blade Quad(always used this image), i have tried Comm10 as well but still the same on same channels. Done a reflash, change ucodes and uploaded new keys folder, any chance someone could advise on anything else plz......Dan

Can you check the BER, SNR and SIG. on one of the chirpy channel? RED Button and Blue button. BER should be around zero. Use the home button to leave the screen display.

Have you tried the feed direct to the box without splitters?

Apart from that it could be the emulator is not running properly. Do a cam reset via blue button menu and see if that helps.

Lastly try flashing an updated services.xml file for your area it may solve your problem.

(actually after re-reading your post I think most likely cause is that the services.xml file needs to be updated so maybe try this first, might save time and hassle, hope it helps)

The snr is 55k and the sig's about 43k. I'll check the connection but there still the original ones.

55k will give u probs - put on a channel and gently move the cable connection at the back of the box - see if u can get above 60K or try a booster...u need to try and get around 60K really

This could be down to a 'slack' Antenna socket on the back of the dbox. Try giving this 5 minutes of TLC with my mini-Tute.

Cheers- AL

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...7C12108829.htm

always take it back if it don't work

i had to use a konig yellow brick booster for my dream upstairs, u can adjust the gain and reduce the noise....too strong a signal can give u probs....
