Which Image?

Hi

Just become a member of the dbox2 community, got my cable box from Germany on Friday.

All went well but by Saturday only had FTA.

Box has been re-flashed with original image ( Cryo_Sportsterv1.75 ) although it reports to be v1.73 on the Neutrino Boot screen. Updated roms have been ftp'd and most channels are back I think.

I have been given advice to upgrade to a newer image, what do you guys recommend?

I live in Sheffield UK (If this is relevant)

Currently my set up reports 343 transponders on 6952

I know that the image is a personal thing but you guys will be far more advanced than I am in this area

hello and welcome steve to the best dbox community for the uk

when it comes down to images im afraid there is no best image.

try the latest ones and let your box decide which one it likes as dboxes are fussy generally and may be smooth and run brilliant with one image and not others

we have a load of images so pick the last 3 and try all of them but remember to save your image as you go along that way you never lose anything you may of wanted personnally

you will notice how the fast scan in the new images work very quick as long as you set it up for your area

also read the feedbacks to

Thanks for the advice Gav, It is pretty much as I expected - a suck it and see experiment then. I will wait until my posting rights are higher than take a look at the latest images.
