My mate is having problems with his dbox2, he reckons 1 day it just went down and rebooted itself and wouldn't go past the initial boot screen. So, he's tried to flash it a number of times using IFA but he says it's getting stuck a quater of the way thru and just hanging - here's his IFA log - can anyone see anything wrong with it? there's a few errors in there i haven't seen before so i'm wondering if it's terminal

The IFA isnt completing properly, and isnt sending the image via TFTP to the box for some reason. Try turning off ALL firewalls and antivirus, and if possible try a different version of IFA. Once the IFA sends the flash image to the box's RAM it can then be flashed as normal. From that log it looks as though the box itself is fine hardware-wise, but things further in the log (not yet visible in the portion you have pasted) may reveal otherwise.

My IFA did the same thing stopped a quarter of the way and didn't move but the data transfer on the little screen on box was not affected so I left it that way until the German word 'feirtig' which is complete I think, then I went and closed the IFA program, restarted the box and the new image was there.
