Ok tried a complete new build with this, no diffs or awt
bog standard cvs check out
but still same error

"The requested file was not found Probably wrong vlc version Please use vlc 0.8.5 or higher"

tried vlc versions from 0.8.6 to 0.9.9 but still the same error

vlc will work once then when stopped on the Dbox it still runs on the pc ?

so in order to watch something else you have to log in on the pc & stop payback manually then it will run again ?

EDIT

should have mentioned this is only with an avi file when watching .ts files it works ok

Try and have a read here: http://tuxbox-forum.dreambox-fan.de/...366260#p366260

Last Entry:

Within VLC Maininterface-> HTTP -> Host-Adresse add the IP of the PC that has VLC running instead of 0.0.0.0 or 127.0.0.1 and it will work
