Default Commando 11- SP1 / SP2

C11-SP1 contains all the kit for FreddyFr0g's latest 'one filter fits all' sectionsd and sorts 99% of the Now ' Next EPG bugs we've all been experiencing.

Dev work and testing on this still goes on- but this version is streets ahead of the kit originally released in C11...

C11-SP2 contains a much smaller nhttpd file to gain a bit more memory space. The revised neutrino file has LraiZer's fix for the lazy LCD-EPG load/refresh bug- much more proactive now!

Full instructions included in the 'foldered' rars in install.txt

Cheers- and thanks for your patience- AL

Latest- both patches have been updated (see post #7)

They are seperate entities, m8! You could install sp2 before sp1 if you wanted to, and it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference. This is C11, not XP, LOL!

OK- just tested, another method of replacing /bin/neutrino while it's still hot and alive!!

1) Reboot box to clear the shite out

2) FTP the new neutrino to the /bin folder 'as' neutrino2

3) chmod it to 755 -- important!!

4) Exit FTP and open Telnet. Yes, it's STILL root > commando LOL!

5) cd /bin

6) mv neutrino2 neutrino

And that's it- less than a second!! Reboot the dbox, and you now have only one neutrino in there, the latest one!

This works on most 'active' executable binary files and libs. It's about time it was mentioned in pt-1's Helpfile, LOL!

what code have you used for the epg refresh?

have applied both SP1 + SP2 patches and this doesnt look right! program name and progress bar seem to have a different delayed sluggish update on a new program start and then the progress bar is not updating? has the new sectionsd code broken the epg refresh code?

UPDATE:
have compiled FF latest sectionsd from today using also the commando11+nownext diff i posted the other day. then also added in the latest lcd-epg patch i made and everything is working fine. both program name and progress bar snap to next program together as they should. i can only assume from this testing that you are not using the correct lcd-epg patch in SP2.

latest lcd-epg patch is HERE!

An update on using the latest updates...

Come out of stand-by... the TV image flickers twice, then a big flicker where it brings up the pop-up thing with now and next on... not sure if it's supposed to do this, but i find it annoying. ^_^ (the now & next showing thing of the current channel that is, lol)

My bad, LraiZer- I believe I used a neutrino by Renny timestamped a couple of hours before your latest diff, so this must be using your first fix that you weren't too happy with.

I'll replace this in SP2 with a upx'd neutrino Renny did on 29 June which is about 300 bytes smaller. So this HAS to be the right one, m8!

I suppose while I'm at it, we might as well put Freddy's latest sectionsd in SP1, eh?

Both patches updated in the first post, folks- sorry to mess you about...

Thanks for pointing out my mistake! Cheers- AL

This is neutrino restarting upon wake-up, AJ. It was suggested by LraiZer as a dirty method of forcing a refresh on the LCD-EPG and seems to be very effective.

But if you don't like it, then just remove the killall -9 neutrino line from the new standby.off file.

Cheers- AL

Thanks for the patches, applied SP1 and after rebooting just sat on waiting for time and never got an EPG either. Not too sure what happened there or if anyone else has had that happen. Going back to original now and will maybe try again later on.

Well something was well screwed up there!

Reflashed and started again, all good this time around so no idea what was screwy.

Patched SP2 as well, and tried out the streaming for those that want it and unfortunately that is still busted.
