Default commando upgrade

i currently have i think it's commando 5 or 6 and i want to move to 10 is there a list of files that i need to back up from the current image to get 10 to work?

10? Why not go 11, then apply the SP1 & SP2 patches and be right bang up to date, as in 2 days ago?

Yes- you will need to grab half a dozen files from your working current image. The easiest way to do this is from a handy tip provided by mrdude:

Telnet in, and type-

tar -cf /tmp/var.tar /var <enter>

Takes only a second or two! Transfer the var.tar file with FTP to a safe location on your PC; filesize is only around 650kb

You now have a WinRAR accessible archive of your complete /var partition, from which to extract files not found in C11. Some of these files will need to be chmod 755 after you've transferred them to your new image.

If your services and bouquets are bang up to date, these can be utilized too!
