I've ticked that my box is always connected to the web as there isn't an exact match
![]() My box is actually connected through a PC with ICS, the PC is often but not always on - so close enough I guess

Like Lincsat I too have ICS sharing the connection for the dbox (and my old xbox1 running xbmc, lol), and this PC isn't on 24/7 like the one underneath it. (supposed I could reconfigure my stuff to have ICS on the 24/7 machine though)
My other dbox is too far away from any form of router. ^_^ |

router & dbox2 are connected by cable 90% of the time but it's not a permanent connection (cable over carpet) and router/pc not on 100%

Great feedback so far, lads! Keep it coming please... We'll let this run for a few days- then reveal why we're asking these questions, and maybe coax the guys who have replied affirmative in any one of the first three categories to have a good ponder...
Cheers- AL

Permanently connected to internet via wireless router purely because the router sits on top of it and a half metre ethernet cable came in the box free.

I have two boxes, one is connected to my home network but not set up for an internet connection but it could soon be if there was a good reason :-)
the other I run a cable to every now & then when I want to play with it so I clicked on permanent connection |
