In here, we'll have the Add-Ons Pack that was included with the Image Release, just as an alternative source if you lose your original, and your dBox2 isn't hooked up for Online updates.
Note: The Automount and NFS tarballs are likely to be updated very soon, as we think we might have got the wrong end of the stick with these... FreddyFr0g will hopefully send us in the right direction, LOL! We'll also use this area to update you with new additions to Commando 11.3 - and there's a nice one coming in a minute... Cheers- Renwich and AL

OK my little guinea-pigs! I've sat down this morning and done this properly now- and tested it. Sorry for my schoolboyish rushed first attempt... Try again please?
__________________________________________________ ______ With mega thanks (as usual) to LraiZer for helping out with the sed part of the scripting (and for chopping the size of the script to a third of what it was!) ![]() Install is a peach! Extract the complete tarball from the rar file, and FTP it to the /tmp folder of your dBox2. Do not use WinRAR to extract the folders and files from the tarball !! Telnet in, and type these commands: /var # cd /tmp <enter> /tmp # tar xjvf sb-vol.tar.bz2 <enter> /tmp # /tmp/sbv-setup.sh <enter> /tmp # exit <enter> ...and that's it! No Reboot, no restart neutrino. Total added payload of this addition is about 1kb!! Enjoy... Cheers- AL ![]() ps: forgot to mention- this thread is locked to avoid us travelling along parallel lines; Any Feedback on the stuff in here should be directed to the main C11.3 Feedback thread here, please: Last edited by PaphosAL; 09-09-2009 at 07:22 AM.. |

Spotted a post on DWZ by Lraizer, where someone was whingeing about the 'digital' appearance of the Clock, in the LCD Standby screen.
Well, that's what it's supposed to represent- a Digital Clock ffs! But to appease C11.3 users who prefer to see a 'plain' Clock Font as they sit there staring at the LCD screen while their dBox is fast asleep, here you go! Tip: Backup the existing 10 files of the same name, before overwriting them with the new set from the attachment, via FTP. Just in case you prefer the originals, LOL! PATH is /share/tuxbox/lcdd/clock Cheers (and thanks again to LraiZer)- AL

All Commando 11.3 users should update with this, please!!
Why, and what is it? We've noticed a few Feedback posts around the boards where peeps have tried to use the Online Add-Ons menus, when their dBox isn't, in fact, actually 'online' and connected to the Internet... This currently leads to a 'phantom' Install, where the item has now disappeared from the respective Install Menu, and now appears in the Uninstall Menu. Only problem is- when you try and uninstall the 'ghost' - nothing happens. That's because the uninstall script wasn't installed either! The new file contains Error-Trapping to stop this scenario in it's tracks, by first checking for the physical presence of the 'downloaded' file. If it doesn't find it, you'll just see a benign Error Message pop-up, and the install process is halted. The updated file also contains FreddyFr0g's recommended addition and typo correction in the NFS Installer section. UnRAR- FTP overwrite existing /sbin/add with this new one; check it's still chmod 755 (it should be) Cheers- AL

All Commando 11.3 users please overwrite the existing file with the new one extracted from the attached RAR.
This version is more robust, and prevents loss of services when quitting out of MovieBrowser (due to zapit and sectionsd not unpausing properly). Thanks to rhabarber for the update patch info! Cheers- AL
