Default Commondo 11.3 - LCD Stopped

Hi,

I don't now too much about the image files, however is it possbile that a new image could stop my lcd from working?

Since i flashed this image on my dbox the LCD has stopped, I did change it to a 1x image.

This has flashed successfully and i can view channels, just not lcd.

This isn't just when fully booted, theres nothing from the start,
No loading etc.

Anyone any ideas?

Just for reference the LCD suddenly started working on the dbox today.

To be honest, i haven't a clue why, anyone else experienced anything like this?

I am guessing the box might be on the way out?

Have you checked the connection in the box m8, as it should be securely fasten down, as it has a small locking device fitted ...

Be VERY careful when checking the integrity of the LCD ribbon cable connection to the dbox motherboard!

Mains power OFF!!

Mess about with that connection while mains power is applied, and you stand a good chance of blitzing the CPU, hence bricking the box completely...

The brightness / sharpness of the LCD on the latest commando images is very low.........even on my dogs bollox box after fannying around in the settings I still cant read the fooker unless my big conker ( nose ) is up against it.........

No big deal really.................even a Mr McGoo like me knows whats on when you hit OK

TBH and depending on the size of your living room you need a good set of peepers to be able to read the LCD............even better than 20 : 20

The original cvs LCD Contrast and Brightness levels were way too high, Rod. We use 90 for brightness, 15 for contrast, and 70 for standby brightness.

If you feel these settings are too dim, just increase them to levels that you're happy with, in the LCD Menu. As you change them in the OSD, you see instant results on the LCD itself.

Cheers- AL

I've got them turned up full mate !!!!

For some strange reason the LCD brightness / contrast does not produce an as sharp and clear visual as on other ( non commando ) images........Fook knows why and it's certainly no real hassle mate.
