Question Vista Media Centre

Hi All,
Does anybody know if I can use Dbox as a tuner source in Vista Media Centre to watch TV? Or stream the dbox channels directly?

Help in the right direction would be much appreciated.
Regards
Mo

go for a dvb-c card it gives u all the services of a dbox2 + HD....i've had 1 a couple of years now, first with mce2005 and now vista...i iuse a floppydtv, there are other cheaper cards aroung like technotrend 1501 but don't seem as compatible with vista but work fine in other apps like dvbviewer, progdvb, mediaportal, myth tv etc.....i get 14 days epg, 1 touch recording, with the tvpack installed u can use several tuners and mix them, dvb-c, dvb-t etc...all the benefits of a pc too, here's a couple of photos

Dark Matter thanks for your post. I was thinking more along the lines of pulling channels accross the network.

With respect to using a a DVBC card you can use all the cams?

never tried connecting dbox to pc but i think u need a tv analogue card, not too sure how u control the box thru mce, direct streaming thru something like winserver i wouldn't think there's any support as a plugin

with a dvb-c card can use softcam method called vplug for most apps but not directly supported by vista, there are bridging apps out there dvbsbidge, dvbslink but i use a hardcam, ie. cam & smartcard......
