Is the DBOx flashed?

Hi All,

I have just ftped the image file to the dbox (second hand box used for 3 months earlier) and then tried to flash on the box through the menu list on the dbox.

However the flash successful message is not displayed even after 20 mins.

After connected the Nokia dbox2 to the TV, the box boots and some channels are seen.

Does it mean that the flashing is successful?

Since all channels are not seen, so i need to update the bouquets or services.xml.

did you ftp the image to the temp directory then used the remote
to flash the image via the blue button,then flash with out bootloader

Ys, I followed the instructions in the video bu Turner123 on YouTube.

Although using the remote control the instructions were not exactly in the same order for my nokia dbox2. Tried write flash file->file selection-><<my flahs file>> then pressed OK, nothing happened for around 20 mins.

Then after clicking OK again, it came out of the menu.

Then tried the option: Exper function>Flash 1 partition>flash w/o bootloader>file selection>myimagefile.img
click Ok
waited for 20 mins
clicked OK
came out of the menu

Teh dbox had only 1 image file (dont know if teh keys/ cams are set)

once you clicked wo bootloader it normally pops up asking do you want to do this along them lines etc did you select yes? then it should start the flashing, once its done it will say flashed sucsesfully etc then reboot

if you rebooted the box yourself then you will need to ftp the image back to temp folder again

Hi,

Servies> Expert function > Flash 1 partition > Flash w/o bootloader > file selectin >(selected my image file) Clicked OK

Nothing happened after that

After I clicked OK again, it came out of the File section menu

I did not check the temp folder again, but when i connected the box to TV, it could catch few channels which i cud see earlier as well.
