Default dbox remote

is it possible to lock the remote out of the dbox2 or vice versa lock the box from the remote?, got 2 remotes here neither working with the box, red light isnt flashing, took the board out of the front all seems fine there, last resort thinking i have locked the box from the remote or remote from box, but the thing is as well the red light on the front of the box for the remote aint flashing either

Afaik the IR remote for dbox is just a consumer remote - 455KHz carrier or similar modulated by an IR Remote chip. If it works with one - it should work with another example of the same type of box. I think there may be brand associations - nokia remotes were different to sagems - not sure they interoperate. But I know a learning remote learns the remote I tested fine. Later remotes on fleabay say they work with all afair - but then that's fleabay...

point the remote at a camera phone to check the remote beam flashes when you press the buttons.

Sagem remotes will operate Sagem and Nokia dboxes.

Nokia remotes will operate Nokia, but not Sagem dboxes.

Sagem dboxes are shite.

there is a lock rc in features on some imgs

Hi,
If you re-flash your box then that will definitely tell you if the remote's are goosed.
