Default Fast scan problem

not sure if this is an area fault or they are doing stuff in{nw pest area}
went to do a scan and the box,s wont fast scan useing any images
a full scan is needed .

Did you remember to set your location first? ^_^ (needed on any image with fast scan)

Well either the location setting for your area is outdated (sometimes they change the frequencies), or you picked the wrong location. (probly be the first thing) ^_^

yes, i think they may have found a way to block transponder scanning but you should still be able to use a backup of your bouquets and services files for now at least. my ability to scan transponders was also terminated a few days ago.

we are all doomed.... or maybe just both in same area with same fault, but there are a lot of reports lately of transponder scan failures

Fast scan is still working in my area though. ^_^

edit: did think it was broke too though, until I realised that I didn't set my location, lol. (usually do brute force scans)

edit2: playing about with the frequency of the fastscan, seems to be able to use any frequency that has a "DL ****" channel on it and fast scan works for it. ^_^ (pure area mind you, although might work with any frequency that just has at least 1 channel on it, lol)

edit3: yeah any frequency with a channel in for me. ^_^ lol

fast scan is working again...they had changed my Network ID : FREQUENCY without telling me.

full transponder scanning is working fine

i have borrowed nextdoor,s eurovox 1000 to see if there is a problem with there scanning but its fine.

Have a look in the services.xml and note down one of the frequencies (and symbol rate). Then enter that frequency and symbol rate into the manual fast-scan settings and see if that works. ^_^ (I'm not sure what the ID thingie does, it's at 00022 for me but don't know where it's from, lol)

edit: services.xml is located in /var/tuxbox/config/zapit/

try a new fast scanning frequency close to your old one. enter new freqs up and down in steps of 8000

eg. if your old freq was 571000 then you could try these.

531000
539000
547000
555000
563000
571000
579000
587000
595000
603000
611000
