I meant the menus and Scan itself, once you've added a satellites.xml into /share/tuxbox Tim. (We usually delete this out of C11.3.xx - as this is intended as a cable-only image).

But Renwich would like to make it dual-purpose; however so far, we've been unable to attract any feedback from a single Sat dbox2 user. Until now...

If you google for satellites.xml then you'll find some interesting stuff- keep playing!!

Cheers- AL

From my cable Enigma experience, you need a single valid transponder that contains the NIT data and Enigma will do the rest if you check Network in the scanning options.

The sat dbox hasn't been switched on in a while at my house. The picture quality is slightly better through Freeview and I'm not interested in the one or two extra channels I can get through the dbox. I can't afford a motorised dish set-up at the minute so I'm completely lacking in motivation.

I've had this conversation with a few people on other boards. Would you think it would be possible to conver a cable dbox to a sat dbox by changing the tuner to a sat tuner?

There are always tuners for sale on ebay.de.

I've managed to change a tuner on a Dreambox 7020 before now so i don't think it would be that difficult, its just a case if the other hardware in the box would allow it to work.

Whats your thoughts on this?

Dont get chance to watch much telly these days, so watching just FTA channels would be plenty for me

Default Well theres always the internet...
Might have a go at getting IPTV working. I know i's been done on a sportster image....cant find the bookmark though.

Would have been great if some sort of mini browser could be enabled, no need to take the laptop into the bedroom!

Linux and android now on the no-name cheap minibooks, so perhaps this can be done.
