I'm trying to enable UDP streming so to be able to watch from a hardware "device" that can only receive UDP stream.

Questions:
a) I tried to enable udpstreampes by adding this line to ETC/INETD.CONF:
-udpstreampes stream udp nowait root /sbin/udpstreampes udpstreampes

that together with the existing lines in ETC/SERVICES:
-udpstreampes 31340/tcp
-udpstreampes 31341/udp

should do the job, I believe.

Now I've got a new line in my TCP-listener
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:31335 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:31338 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:31339 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:31340 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:31341 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:31342 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:31343 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN

whilst the UDP-listener is still empty!
Shouldn't I have something in there too??
How can I test if I can get anything on UDP with VLC?
I tried to open all possible combinations with VLC
udp://@<ipaddr>:<port>
but so far no good result!
Am I missing anything?

b) how can I extract udpstreamts from the image?
I see someone said these files can be extracted from the jffs2 image. How?
Would udpstreamts work any better? How to enable? How to test with VLC?

Thanks a lot
Cheers!
