can i use my dbox as a normal freeview box just to pick up fta channels by this i mean i have no cable in my new house i, ijust want to connect to my outdoor aerial if so what img do i need as the sportser img i have installed ,only scans cable transponders

No, it has a cable tuner in, not suitable DVB-T.
