Default using image converter tool in vista

Hi, i might be being a bit of a tit here. please feel free to point this out!
I have downloaded the image converter tool but when i try to open the .exe i get an error. i am using a vista laptop, any pointers would be appreciated. thanks u lot!

try right clicking the .exe go into properties and change compatability so it runs it as xp
