Default Nokia DBOX2 Tuner Broken (80p chip, £8 postage) - HELP

Hi guys,
ive had a dusty dbox2 with a broken tuner which was working perfectly ok untill this tuner broke on me!

It seems a waste to be sat there when i can use in my room which it used to be located.

I have come across the correct chip (cannot remember but its wrote down on my laptop) 80p + £8 postage!

Seems abit steap for postage, if ayone could put me onto someone else for starts that would be great!

The next step, my uncle mods xbox, 360, wii, etc + has micro soldered parts in the past with the tiny chips with good results.

However, this is for free and there is no guarentees as hes broken an xbox in the past by attempting it. So its not guarenteed he can do it he said.

1: Anyone know where to get this done cheap?
2: Anyone ever replaced the little chip in the tuner?
3: How efficient is it? ie. should i just try to find a full working tuner?
4: If so, where to find?

Any information at all would be excellent

Here's an excellent video tute for replacing this BFG94 transistor, by psxnet on Unlockers:

The problem with this component in the past has been that peeps have only been able to buy it in a minimum quantity of 6 off. If you've sourced yours in the UK, and can get one only, then count yourself lucky!

But state where it's coming from, just in case another member lives nearby and can collect in person and post it to you cheaper. For example, Cricklewood Electronics do it as a one off @ £2-00 + VAT, but P&P is £3-00 + VAT

Cheers- AL
