Got a sagem here looking at the boot log it looks terminal

advice please.?

Only a guess, Renny- but has someone pulled the LCD ribbon out of the mobo, with mains power still on? Fried CPU if so...

lid screws were tight and looked untouched so I'd say not

I am no expert m8 but that bootlog looks terminal,
Might be worth a try using the hyperterminal method and see what happens

I think maybe Wiz means flashing the box via the "long winded method"

Using hyper terminal to upload an image to the box via serial.

Yep thats what I meant ren as tbh theres not much a novice like me can tell you about the dbox,just thought it might be worth a shot before you bin it.

seen bootlogs similar and then reported cured by serial flash, last time i did a serial took about 3 hours to complete the flash, good luck

Surprised to find I still had this info on one of my old drives, guide and file uploaded here Flash Dbox2 via serial method

But I rescued a box a few years ago doing this method, as LraiZer says, takes a long time, but can work on a broken box like that!

is it normal to get "connection timed out" during the file transfer of the u-boot.mot stage..?
