New N3

Hi,

My friend has told me that my dbox is going to go off soon, as cable is going to us same N3 codes as satilite channels.

Is my lovely dbox doomed ?

If so how long do we have and is anyone working on a new fix ?

sky satellite uses NDS encryption

As this board is primarily focused on the development of Linux neutrino and enigma Images for legal FTA reception only, then the type of decryption that the Cable and Satellite providers choose to use for the UK is of no concern whatsoever for us.

No reason to close the thread, m8! A lot of peeps get mixed up between FTA and FTV.

FTV is really Free to View on Digital Terrestrial, with no card nor subscription necessary. However, the greedy gits at Sky and Virgin have taken it upon themselves to 'package' these FTV channels and encrypt them!!

How OFCOM let them get away with this skullduggery simply beggars belief!! I think OFCOM should put their foot down and insist that VM at the very least leaves the FTV channels on n1...

Now I think I understand what is going on. FTV is NOT equal to FTA.

Seems the good times are nearly over.
