Is it coming to the end for the dbox?

After 3 years with hardly any problems it seems everyones dbox in our area has lost the bouquets menus leaving everything in Andere.

Also some of the channels are missing and others cant be viewed. The guy who used to flash the boxes when it was needed seems to have given up. And ive heard rumours that virgin are about to launch new encripted software that will put an end to the dbox

Please enlighten me on this vicious rumour and guide me to returning my dbox to how it used to be.

i will be surprised if it will be finished just yet - it does, after all, make a good freeview box if nothing else ....... but then again, it does have an ethernet port doesn't it? what else can this be used for i wonder?
