im currently in the process of setting up a sat box (dm500s) and am going to stick commando on it..

now.. i do have my old nokia dbox2, which now will not work for obvious reasons..

im just thinking.. because this box is linux, almost the same as the dm500s-

is there any way it can mirror whats on the dm500s on another tv (ie. downstairs)?

if this is do-able, it may give another use for the nokia dbox2?

and also IF it was possible.. developments to use the nokia dbox2 remote on the dbox2 to send the signal to the dm500s and even have full control from another room!!! (that would be greattttttttttttttttt!!)

probably just wishing here.. but surely mirroring what one box is doing to another shouldnt be as hard as decoding signals and producing a picture (which they currently do?)

I asked the question previously if you could stream from 1 dreambox to another. For example, instead of using vlc on a pc to view what the dreambox is showing, can another dreambox be used (via their vlc plugin)???

I don't think I ever found an answer. If this was possible, it would be a starter for 10 for thinking about streaming dreambox to dbox.
